Staffordshire County Council are continuing with the lengthy roadworks into Stafford town and have posted the following information, please read.

We’re continuing essential maintenance work in the Queensville area of Stafford over the next few months.

To keep you in the loop, here’s a breakdown of the works planned and when they’re expected to take place

* Queensville Roundabout – Riverway: 30 June – 17 October

We’ll be carrying out maintenance work on pavements, kerbs and drains, as well as resurfacing the road and refurbishing the bridge.

During this time there will be a one-way road closure between Queensville Roundabout and Riverway Junction, with access from Riverway (for outbound traffic only)

A diversion will be in place through Silkmore Lane, A449 Wolverhampton Road and A34 Lichfield Road.

* Queensville Bridge: 6 and 7 July (8pm and 6am)

Crews will be working throughout the night on these two dates to carry out the maintenance work on the bridge itself.

The road will be closed overnight, but you’ll still be able to access your home or business if you need to.
